Clarkson hasn't only been lauded by AFL people for his coaching smarts but by other coaching luminaries like Bellamy

Ayers had his chances but didn't cut it at the elite level and, as I've said, if he was regarded as a top line coach why have so many, who know way better than us, passed on him so many times?

Sometimes you just have to put simplistic prejudices to one side and take note of the judgements passed by far more knowledgeable and experienced people. And there have been many in Ayers case.

Good coaching is getting the best out of the group you have at your disposal. It's not just about the cattle at your disposal.

Ayers has been a good coach at the second level which is about his go.

Anyway, we have taken a deviation from the thread.

Clarkson is great. He had the players to get him there.
Actually I don’t care.


Back to SEN,

They have so much boring or dumb types they are far less listenable than pre hutch reign.

Would have saved us so much time had you acted on the bolded then.;)

Agree the new line-up is less impressive. Unlike many I don't mind Turfy and although Gerard can be pompous, he's okay.

Can't take Lyon, Maher, Frawley or the motor mouth who regularly does overnights.

Turf good in small doses.
KB would be better at 12pm.
Unsure why kB at 70+ needs to go work late afternoons, he could retire.

He has changed but i don't blame him at all. The Rohan Connelly, senior Age journalist that did a bit of radio for beer money morphed into RoCo because he had to. When you're out on your own the only person pumping up your tyres is yourself. I'm sure he's not for everyone but i'm glad he's part of whatever the station is trying to be now.

It's a nickname, that's all. And it's easier to say. Plus who the * actually cares what he calls himself, what does it actually matter?

I never really listened to Schwarz. Liked him as a football player and fellow blackjack player at casino but could not give a s**t about his efforts on radio. Mark Fine I not care about. Connolly needs to straighten up. Connolly or Rohan is fine, RoCo bullshit he cannot be allowed to get away with.

Look Timstar, there are certain nicknames that are perfectly fine. RoCo self appointed is just wrong. Should not be allowed to get away with it. He is taking piss out of all of us. No way can you get away with being in media for ******* centuries and then in your last few years you start making up your own nicknames.
where does it all end? Next we will have Basil Z calling himself Baz on air and just accept it.
This is line in sand moment as listeners.

I think Ro Ro (As I heard Bomber Thompson refer to him once, and I like that more) can get away with it on SEN and on his Footyology podcasts if he does it. If his career moved onto another station or medium, he'd look like a flog then.

I've not heard Flogology podcast by Ro Ro. Where can I find it ?
 
Although not a fan of cornes, the adelaide experiment has been very good and seemless.

even with guests not in adelaide, its been smooth.

I notice macquaire sports network station have hosts in different cities and its not too bad either. bill woods and bridge duclos today

It wasn't RoCo that started calling himself RoCo, others started doing it (ages ago) and he just went along with it. If anything he is taking the p*** out of himself not us. It's just a bit of fun.
