I have made a thread about this before. Just as heartbreaking to me as the grand final seasons as I knew then that was our last true shot with the 89-96 boys.

The ridiculous finals draw and mark not paid did a lot of damage but we we'd lost Paul Lynch and his dodgy hamstrings so there weren't a few goals and was Derek Hall* going to take us to glory? Nope. Brownless was cooked. Couch not far off. Bizzell was done at some time during the season.

(*-As a West Perth fan I loved Derek Hall)

But if you beat Adelaide say Colbert mark was give and he goals why couldn't you then beat dogs and saints? You would have been good enough.
