Re: Supercoach Gold, Is it worth the money?

Rather than going from site to site to read info such as BEs & averages etc SCGOLD allows you to have it all in one place. The disadvantage is that it isn't free like some very good fantasy footy sites are. In fact, some of the free sites are somewhat more useful IMO than SCGOLD. However, for the simple convenience of having it all in one place and added advantages like early login to begin your team etc I'll be putting up the dough again I reckon.

Signed up again. Looks better than last year. The filtering and searching in the player research is a lot faster.

That being said you could get everything gold gives you for free elsewhere but it's nice to have it in one spot.

The Herald Sun are making a killing out of Supercoach. With the advertising to accompany the traffic to the site, plus the income of supercoach gold I find it amazing that they still only offer a $50k prize to the winner. And the 1k weekly winners prize hasn't risen since day 1. Time to lift their game and give a bit more back.

Re: Supercoach Gold, Is it worth the money?

At the end of the day we all know whos good and whos not, it's just picking the right combination that gets us all.

Its alright if you like pointless gimmicks that dont mean anything (Break evens, Potential score, Potential opposition score).

Yeh ill probably get it just because its fun.

How is a break even a useless gimmick? lol. knowing them can be the difference between affording Swan, Ablett, Pendlebury, Murhpy, Selwood etc as quick as possible

Maybe it might help those who spend 20 hours a week dissecting it, but a quick browse usually does the job for me.

Basically all Im saying is you dont NEED it to win, it's just more fun with it.

You know of a SC winner who didn't use BE's?

Agree, I had SuperCoach Gold more for fun, but any extra information doesn't hurt.

I used B/E :thumbsu::thumbsu:

I think it really depends on how you view SuperCoach. If you view it as a hobby you like and $20 won't break you bank balance then why not? I can buy a round of beers and it will cost me $30, so why not spend $20 on something I use all year.

Nothing wrong with getting or not getting SuperCoach Gold, but I think the early team selection is a great benefit. I have tried 100 combination of my team even before 1 February.:p:p:p

Don't get me wrong, I agree with most of what you say and you do not NEED it to win by all means. And you dont need 20 hours to check break evens on the free tooserious. Just disagree that the breakeven part is not a gimmick and very usefull and can give you an advantage over someone not checking breakevens because you will get more cash and a better squad.

For example why get rid of Zorko in round 12 and bring in pendlebury if Zorko has a low break even and is predicted to rise 75K more and Pendlebury has a high break even and expected to drop around 80k. Hold off for a week and you can probably afford to bring in pendlebury and another gun.

But I agree you dont need GOLD to do that. That's pretty much all it's good for which you can do anyways

I'm having trouble with reading the season previews that have been put up. All I'm getting is a yellow screen with no writing on it!!! What does this mean? Haven't the writers finished their articles yet?

It would of been nice to be charged $19.95 but instead i got charged twice:eek::mad: and there is no contact numbers or email addresses to contact whoever controls this side of it so i have emailed the sports desk to see if they can pass my email on to someone that cares that was 4 emails and 3 days ago and i still have not heard anything. Guess they just believe ill end up not worrying about it which they are correct as there is nothing i can do.

Im having the same problem! I tried a couple of different web browsers to see if that helped but still no go. Bit annoying as I would like to read the season previews as well.

Call 3AW. Neil Mitchell will fix it.

I'm also having trouble reading the articles. I was only able to read the Carlton one.

Same problems on DT Assistant coaches. :thumbsd:

Maybe a 30sec google search for the company that billed you for the service? Having a sook about $20 to a shock jock callback, please.
