2015 Video Games Board Feedback Thread

Hi all,

As 2015 draws to a close we thought it would be good to get some feedback on how you've found the board over the course of the year. Some of the things we'd like to know:
- How much you've enjoyed the board;
- How moderation has been handled from your perspective;
- Whether there is anything that you believe has been done particularly well;
- Whether there is anything that could be done better;
- Whether you have any ideas to improve the quality of the board.

I would also like to stress that this thread is not a one-way street; we're happy to discuss options and ideas openly and even answer questions about the state of the board if necessary, and perhaps even throw our own suggestions in occasionally to see how they're received.

Also happy to receive PMs if you'd prefer to voice your concerns and suggestions that way.

Aside from the moment Dannnnnnnnnn & co shut down tupperware, LukasTheGreat & I's thread of the year it's been a pretty tight ship.

Most of the angst on the board has completely died down since the new appointments came on board as well.

I was just about to post that I really like E92_ 's avatar, great reference and then I saw Quivorir 's new one and I can't decide who's is better. Hmm, Silicon Valley or The Notorious. Probably Quiv's.

As for the matter at hand, can I have that Xbox controller award? Who gives those out?

Oh yeah, board is great, there's always room for improvement but I don't know what that is. Console vs console shit has died down, there's the odd PC spot fire but that keeps things interesting, everyone is pretty damn cool and all the cool posters are here.

In summation, seriously, how do I get that Xbox controller trophy?

Christ, I so want Microsoft to sell Rare to a company that will use them ...

But more relevantly ... I haven't had long-lasting issues with anyone that I can recall. Any board that doesn't ban me at first opportunity for being me (being a douche) gets my thumbs up.

There aren't really any concrete requirements to get one; they're more an on-the-spot decision sort of thing. Generally they're given out for services to the board, so doing things to make it better etc.

We can do this if people think it'd be helpful but probably closer to the new year when we get a better idea of release dates. At the moment we just have a lot of "TBA - 2016"s. This thread has some information, but I understand what you're getting at.
