I'm not going to let Simple Jack hijack the general motorsport fred, by complaining about how bad Foxtel's coverage of the 2016 race, like he did with the 2015 race. He can complain about it right here, where it belongs.
Typically, the race is held on the same weekend as the Shannons Nationals round at Winton. By this time next year, I reckon I'll get myself a tablet. Pay for the live stream. Then I can have it sitting on my dashboard, keeping me company for the two hours it takes me to get up the Hume hwy to get to Winton. Then I'll be able to watch it between races at Winton, or even during (5 cars for the IROC series, 7 for F3
). Then on the trip home. That's 13 hours right there!
As far as expectation for the race go. I don't know. I'm no fan of Webber, so I hope his car doesn't get up. But the biggest flog is Anthony Davidson (7 LMP1 factory drives - 0 wins, 2 podiums
). So I'll be happy when he goes through some adversity.
It'll mean 7 years since David Brabham won it. Time flies hey?
Also, Le Mans in NOT the Test Cricket of motorsport
I will bump this fred.
