Seems 2 of them could be old style double headers at Marvel.

The R18 NB game could be the curtain raiser for the Blues v WCE at Marvel. Not sure how we'd get in to see that or how much of the game you'd squeeze in if that was the case.

That R18 clash is utterly criminal from the VFL. The purpose of Carlton v WCE having Northern v Pies as a curtain raiser and Marvel (or even standalone at Princes) would be to have an increased interest/attendance... so you put it on concurrently with the AFL game on the other side of town?

Not uncommon for these double headers to somewhat overlap on occasion but I certainly wouldn't pay to get into a Carlton v WCE game at Marvel just to watch a quarter or so before heading to the G.

Precisely. I'm glad it's the only overlap the whole season by the looks, but of all of the ones to do, they stuffed up IMO.

Ah well, plenty of Vic Park action is good news anyway.
