UCLA going to from the Rose Bowl somewhere nobody goes.

Sure nobody goes to UCLA games right now, but when they were good they would get 35-45k a game. I hope they lose a heap of money on this because i like seeing them and USC suffer for killing the Pac

Gameday going to Pitt for the ND/Pitt game.
I guess its better then going to back to the same few SEC sites for the Georgia or Alabama games.

Sadly it seems Reece Davis voice didnt carry to the higher ups. He wanted to go to the Battle of Ravine the D2 showdown between Henderson State University and Ouachita Baptist University. I guess Gameday will never go to a FCS or D2 site again.

Oregon beat ranked Iowa and got jumped by Ole Miss who beat a cupcake

Sums up what's wrong with the AP poll

Sums up what's wrong with the AP poll

In the comments of the Josh Pate video someone theorised that they did that to line up with the playoff rankings since the AP had them one spot above. I could see that since there is no logical reason why they should have dropped.

Then thats even worse. The AP voters are saying that their votes dont matter and are changing rules mid season to match the CFP.

So if the CFP has 2 teams ranked differently to the AP one week and both are on a bye do the AP just flip them the next week to follow the CFP. If so just end the AP poll for good. You wa t a preseason rankings and rankings before November when the CFP start to come out just stuck with coaches rankings like FCS and D2/3.

It just exposes more issues with the voters we already know they exist, with how they dont rank G5 teams correctly or heavily weight to 2/3 loss Big10/SEC schools and dont watch games that start after 10pm. Also the issues with Heisman voters putting in votes before championship weekend.

Not that the CFP voters are perfect either. So if Oregon get moved ahead tomorrow do the AP voters move them up again nextweek as a reaction to the CFP

This week we can see the first teams clinching spots in championship games

Indiana can clinch a spot in the BigTen Championship game with:
- A win vs Wisconsin
And 3 of the following
  • A Minnesota win @ Oregon
  • An Iowa win @ USC
  • A UCLA win @ Ohio State
  • A Northwestern Win vs Michigan

Texas Tech can clinch a spot in the BigXII Championship game with:
- A win vs UCF
and
- A TCU win @ BYU
and
- A West Virginia win @ Arizona State

Alabama can clinch a spot in the SEC Championshp game with:
- A win vs Oklahoma
and
- A Georgia win vs Texas
and
- A Florida win @ Ole Miss

James Madison can clinch a spot in the SBC Championship game with
- a win vs Appalachian State
and
- a Georgia Southern win vs Coastal Carolina

It was just a theory but I guess we will see. There is a scenario where this week Oregon win and Ole Miss lose which would make it irrelevant.
I guess its better the ESPNs FPI.

Just look at 21 and 22

Notre Dame at 5 is hilarious.

I can kind of understand Penn State at 21 and LSU at 22. It is a power rating. On a neutral field they still beat a lot of teams, IMO.
A 5 and 6 loss teams being anywhere near a rankings is a joke.

ND will at least make playoffs if they beat Pitt. Funny thing is that its not a game Pitt need to win since its not an ACC game so won't cost them a shot at the ACC championship

It's Crazy to me that Mendoza could go pick 1 end up being a bust of a player and still end up richer than 90% of the other draftees because he'll start his own venture capital firm and make bank the rest of his life.

He's almost too smart to be playing in the NFL.

The last 5 minutes of the first half of South Carolina/Texas A&M is wild. Interceptions, dropped TD passes, and missed FGs. Then off an interception in the end zone SCar score an 80 yard TD. The game should really be at least a 1 score game but the fact that the ***** are killing A&M is amazing.
