Yellow Jackets (aka the nerds) making history with their 7-0 start.

Games remaining in the ACC are Syracuse, Boston College, North Carolina State and Pittsburgh (tough one) with a game against Georgia to close the season.

Delaware should of punted again, but dead ball foul after the 3rd down and the drive ends in a TD. Amazing how often it happens. teams about to punt get a flag and end up going all the way down the field

Sunbelt kinda tried midweek games lastyear but didnt commit to it with the midweek funbelt.

but C-USA are all in on Weekday C-USA with midfield logos this week. feels like that will make it theirs for October again next year. dont think they will do it November since its owned by Midweek MACtion

New Mexico State what are you doing. Ball caught on the far edge of FG range with 21sec left 4th down and let the clock run down for Mo St to use a timeout then use your last one to ice the FG kicker.

I think its a 50yd FG im calling timeout and if he missed i get a couple of shots to get into FG range.

MO ST Kicker missed and onto OT

VT win in 2OT. Cal can consider themselves a bit unlucky. On 2nd down in the 2nd period of OT, VT had another targeting call overturned but there still should have been a foul. The receiver got hit way after the play was dead.

I was thinking about NIL earlier this week.

Obviously I dont like it, as it creates an imbalance.

People think powerhouses like Texas, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State etc. Will advantage with this. But I think others will too.
Schools like Indiana with huge alumni base.
But other schools with high education prestige like Vanderbilt. There'd be money in their alumni base they can bring teams together.

I wonder whether it could create fun in playoffs as there's more schools who can get there and build a team that can compete.

I do fear schools like Texas or Ohio State have so much money it'll completely ruin it.
And although my school will never compete at that level so it's sapping (We're looking like an 11-2 team and it'd be a failure lol)
I do wonder whether schools like Indiana, like Vanderbilt can solidify themselves near the top and really create a fun season in some ways.

fwiw - I just want all 10 conference champs in the playoff. I think that'll be good too. More schools that can be appealing which can hinder schools like Ohio State hording talent. Why be 3rd string there only to play senior year, when you can be starter at Memphis.

I also wonder whether it can create an imbalance in FCS. Could we see an Ivy League resurgence?

i was reading something today where Ohio St think they have a disadvantage with recruiting because of Big Noon games and having big games like Penn St or Michigan where they would bring in a bunch of prospects might not be able to make it. with them having to take a redeye flight after their high school game on the Friday and then get in for the game at noon on Saturday. especially recruits from California and Florida were mentioned.

There is a NIL cap coming in and stricter guidelines for 3rd party deals like a kid getting $1m for doing a couple of TV ads or whatever for the local dealership. But big schools will always find ways around them.

But the gap between the rich and poor schools is going to grow. but most of those SEC schools are poor and cant spend with the big names like Oregon, Ohio St, Michigan.

The Ivy league are from this year rejoining the FCS playoffs as an AQ.

The only way all 10 conference champs get in is if they expand to 32 teams. because the the Big10/SEC have so much money and power from TV and use TV deals as propergander against the rest to pump up their schools.
