Lawson Tavan has been signed as a replacement player for Alice Mitchell who unfortunately has sustained a torn ACL.

25-year old Lawson Tavan, joins the Swans from VFLW side Darebin, where she has played since 2012, making her way through the juniors to the senior side. She was part of several premiership sides and has been in the Darebin leadership group for the last three years including having a role as vice-captain.

She has also represented Vic Metro and in that team was coached by a familiar face at the Swans, Head Coach Scott Gowans

SYDNEY has made its first list changes, delisting Zoe Hurrell and injury replacement player Gen Lawson Tavan.

Hurrell, signed via expansion out of the local Sydney competition, made her debut in round eight against Essendon on her 21st birthday, goaling with her first kick.

Meanwhile, Lawson Tavan was the last player added to Sydney's inaugural list, signed from the Darebin Falcons to replace the injured Alice Mitchell. After debuting in round one she went on to play seven games in defence.
