The tall defender joins the club for the 2024 season in a trade with the Gold Coast Suns
Standing at 180cm, Davies will look to further her development as a tall defender when she joins the Swans next year.

SHE LEFT behind one sister at Gold Coast, but Giselle Davies reunited with another in Sydney, re-igniting her love for footy in the process.
After playing just six games in three seasons on Gold Coast's list, Davies has played all three matches so far in 2024 after being traded to the Swans over the off-season.
Despite initially being reluctant to leave the Suns, the move to the harbour city has opened up a world of opportunity for the eldest Davies sister.

Four footballing daughters, now it's Mum's turn
With a fourth daughter set to join the AFLW next season, it's no surprise Simone Davies has taken up the sport herself. Daughters Giselle, Fleur, Darcie and Georja share how their mum has shaped their footy journeys, and how they've shaped herswww.afl.com.au
Lovely story about the Davies family. I saw Georja on the sidelines of one of our pre-season matches a few weeks ago, as well as the dad. Great to hear more about the family and learn how dedicated and close they all are.
I think I had tears. It's such a lovely story![]()

Maybe not as unidirectional for the Guldens as for the Davies, where it seems like Giselle was the earliest adopter of AFL.P.S. The story reminds me a bit of the Guldens. Mum, Bronwyn, followed Adam, Errol and Senna into the sport and is now coach of the All Australian U16 Girls! Love these back stories.

From recollection, Bron Gulden is from country Victoria (Bendigo? Ballarat?) and it was probably her knowledge and interest in the sport that set her children on the pathway towards participating. I think she was coaching at the Maroubra junior club long before Errol was drafted. I admit I don't know how her timeline of starting to participate vs just being interested lines up with Adam taking up the sport.
