Maybe that's what's wrong with his goal kicking, he needs to stop conforming, introduce some derp then things will straighten right up.

It was televised on Channel 7 that match, so all their commentary team who were there, all they did was bang on about it each week. Different story if they were at the StKilda v Bombers game. That's the only reason. Daniher's mark was bigger.

I reckon Majak winning really helps the multi-cultural play by the AFL. Not saying it wasn't a great mark, but if Joe was of "multi cultural" race he probably would have won

Flip what time of the year the marks happened and Joe prob wins, really not much difference between them but recency bias is a thing.

Tbh I thought Daw's mark was better.

I've analysed the marks with roby-like precision and my Mark of the Year Power Rankings system has found that Joe Daniher's mark came out with a higher ranking. This is mainly because the ball landing in Majak's hands was not exactly synced with him coming off his opponent's shoulders; He had already started descending when he finalised the capture of the ball. In contrast, Joe Daniher marked the ball at its highest point.

Just another win for the MotYPRs.
