I know Woosha predicted a top 4 finish at the start of the year, but it was obvious that with early injuries we would never get there. Infact we never even looked like making the 8. I think to get to where we did by round 18 and blooding so many youngsters during the course of the year has made this whole year a success. Not only have we developed some KPPs to fill some of the voids that were apparent in last years team but we have also created some depth which is important to any team if they are to be serious finals contenders in the future. We have finished with more wins than last year to make the finals again, maintained our strong home ground advantage, produced 2 All Australians and have a player who has taken mark of the year to go along with Kerrys goal of the year last year. (Someones got to do the state proud
)
The competition is strong at the moment with a lot of good young clubs emerging so I'm not predicting a top 4 finish next year, but with a decent trade or two this year i can't see any reason why we shouldn't be able to go one further and earn a home finals place.
Roll on 2005!!!
