Not enough love for the Schneiderman on this board.

The little bloke can play absolutely anywhere - he's an awesome crumber who can snap the impossible and mark and goal from 50 out.
He's a super-competent wingman who can run forward and snag a few himself, as well as run into the backline to take a mark or contest the footy on the last line of defence.

Has had a very, very good year and is integral to the team.

So here's to the Schneiderman!

Re: Adam Schneider

Call me bitter or stubborn but no love for this guy unless he redeems himself for his grand final misses. That one in the last quarter when he dodged Harley but missed from straight out should've been the one that won us the game. Deserved to be against Harley who wasn't quite good enough anymore for me. Killed me that he got to lift the cup and be a 2 time premiership captain.
Missed crucial shots last week as well.

Re: Adam Schneider

Yeah Schneider was very good last night but really needs to deliver in the big games, particularly finals. Even last week he seemed to choke under the pressure of a big game.

He is normally a very good shot for goal so it must be a mental thing. Hopefully he can overcome that as he has the potential to be a matchwinner for us.

Re: Adam Schneider

Whilst he seems a little up and down, I am liking the depth in his kicking at the minute. Makes him a much more dangerous proposition if he can dob them from outside 50. Might actually encourage the Red Bull to have a crack one day (passed to a small in a 50/50 contest last night instead of backing himself to get the job done from 55).

Re: Adam Schneider

Loving his work at the moment. I've wiped the Grand Final out of my memory and can't remember many of his misses but he showed in the rematch in rd13 that he can pay us back if we make it back.

Re: Adam Schneider

Was a bargain pick up for pick 26 with Dempster, plus doing very well for me in supercoach. :)

Very good last night, sparked St.kilda in the third quarter with his three majors. Needs to kickma few goals in September against the tough sides - Geelong, Western Bulldogs, Collingwood, Hawthorn, etc.

Re: Adam Schneider

Should also mention, Schneiderman leads his team and the entire competition in goal assists, with 21

Re: Adam Schneider

Has been in great form the last few weeks. Really hitting his straps at the right time of the year.

Keep it up Schneiderman...!

Re: Adam Schneider

Everytime he gets the ball I must shout out 'Schneids'

I prefer to start singing 'Schneiderman, Schneiderman, doing whatever a Schneiderman can...'

Nice stat...

He was quiet at the start of the year, but I am now convinced that St Kilda is aiming to peak at the business end, he is hitting form at exactly the right time :thumbsu:

Also loving him in the middle, very instinctive footballer.

Leaves nothing on the field either, poor guy chucks an awful lot

Re: Adam Schneider

Adam Schneider was picked by Sydney with the No. 60 selection in the 2001 National Draft and was 175 centimetres tall and weighed 76 kilograms when he was drafted as a 17 year old. Schneider was recruited as a rover from NSW/ACT Under-18s and had grown up in the New South Wales country town Osborne. Schneider won the McLean Medal for being the best player in division two at the Under-16 championships.

Re: 2011 Player Reviews

#13 Adam "The Schneiderman" Schneider

AFL+Rd+24+Carlton+v+St+Kilda+LKwYFtuf8uCl.jpg

2011 was a relatively quiet year for Adam. Like the rest of the team, Shneids started out the year fairly slowly. Due to his interrupted preseason and 2 match ban from the Grand Final replay Adam did not start the season until Rd 3. The dangerous Half-Forward was unassuming and scored 30 goals, 3rd at St Kilda behind Stephen Milne and Nick Riewoldt.

During the preseason Lyon hinted that Schneider would spend more time in the midfield in season 2011, this was seen as a way of adding class and accurate kicking to the Saints midfield, something that was seen to be lacking. While Adam did not have significant midfield minutes, there were games where he did have an impact in the middle such as Rd 5 v Brisbane where he racked up 25 disposals and 3 goals.

The Milne/Schneider duo is one of the best small forward combo's in the league, this looks set to be improved in 2012 with the addition of new recruit Ahmed Saad. One would think that if Saad,Milne and Schneider are to play in the same team that one would also be a midfield rotation. Of all these players the Schneiderman looks most likely. The continuation of Adam's fine form since relocating from Sydney will be pivotal for the Saints in 2012 as they look to play a more free flowing game under new Coach Scott Watters. A good mix of midfield and forward will create headaches for opposition coaches in his 5th season for the Saints.

Adam Schneider

2012 was a pretty down year for the Schneider-man due to injury. He was interviewed during the offseason asking where he's at with his footy and said he has a contract until the end of 2013 and will reassess then, is still enjoying it but his body is sore. As every Saints fan knows it's not about how often he gets it, but what he does with the ball in his hands. He makes the right decision every time, and somehow even if he's outnumbered 3 to 1 he'll be the one that ends up with the ball. Very cool under pressure and is a beautiful kick.

Adam's year started off by almost completing a full preseason only to pull a hamstring right before the season, then re-injure it a few weeks later which pushed his first game of football back until around the midway point of the season. He made his way back through Sandringham then played his first game of the season for the Saints as the sub in round 11 against the Gold Coast, and his first full game in round 12 against the Crows in Adelaide where he picked up 19 possessions and kicked two goals and showed the class he's always had since his arrival. Schneider is rated extremely highly with Watters as his inclusion in the team was one reason Milera was eventually dropped who had been lighting it up before Schneider came back in. He continued to go about his business for the next few weeks usually getting his 15 or so disposals with 1-3 goals, and played his last game of the season against Geelong in round 21 as the sub. In that game he came on as the sub and played a big part in a comeback that eventually fell short. With the season all but over at that point he was put in for surgery to get ready for another big preseason.

2013 is going to be a very telling year for Schneider. It could very well be his last as we make the transition to some of the younger guys as his body is sore, or he could continue to do what he's always done and be an integral part of the team that takes us well into September. I'm guessing it will be the latter.

Season rating: 6/10

Here's what the 2015 Champion Data Prospectus had to say about Schneider:

Has missed 40 games over the last 3 seasons due to injury and form.

In 2014 he recorded an elite kick rating for a mid-forward and the 6th highest rating of any mid-forward in the AFL to play 10+ games.

Rated above average for goals and score involvements for a mid-fwd and ranked 8th at the club for score involvement per game.

St Kilda veteran Adam Schneider came close to retiring in 2014

A rookie bobbed up and had 22 disposals for St Kilda on Sunday. He kicked two goals as well. He looked assured. One to watch out for in 2015?

Well, this is not your average rookie. He's rising 31, and has now played 214 AFL games, including five grand finals. He's Adam Schneider, and he nearly retired last year.

It was great having old Schnozzles back to his best. He's a happy good natured little guy and is a very high quality player at his best.
