While there may be more wierdos in Melbourne, the normal to wierdo ratio in Adelaide is pretty impressive.

Case in point: my first trip to Adelaide in years I headed into a generic hamburger chain to buy some banal but cheap food. The first thing I see is a gentleman seated at a table with a radio in bits scattered all over it. Just the place to do some repairs on electrical equipment.

Case in point: that night walking through Hindley Street I was accosted by a midget in black grease paint spruiking for a nightclub.

Case in point: headed over for the Port-Hawks semi last year (what a great weekend). Arrived at about 6.00am walking around for somewhere to eat breakfast. Thought to myself, you're mad Rusty this place is fine. In the next 2 hours I saw: a young man challenge an older man to a fight up a laneway because he didn't have a light, a pub brawl (at 7.00am) with some lovely ladies grappling each other and a near naked man on a pushbike pedalling furiously chanting this mantra "gotta ride faster, gotta ride faster.

Just to put the icing on the cake, a friend of mine went over this year and was accosted by a woman who had painted the bottom half of her body yellow: this apparently meant she didn't have to wear any clothes on that part of her body.

Don't get me wrong, I have had some wild times in Adelaide (actually some very wild times, he he he) but there is a high proportion of freaks walking the streets. Perhaps it's the proximity to Maralinga;) Only Kidding:)

Agreed! :)

Power matches are not too bad though, have not been to one for awhile though due to having to work!

I heard that Adelaide was the only capital city in Australia that has more females than males.

Who knows!?!? Adelaide chicks are the best, though, having lived in 4 states, I'm an unbiased judge.

Yeah, maybe I'm wrong!?!

For whatever reason, I thought Adelaide was unusual due to its smaller supply of chicks. Globally, there is something like a 52% female to 48% male split.

Having lived in four states meself, I have come to the conclusion that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. There is something about straying from home that makes the opposite sex of any given city, stand out all the more!!!
