Adelaide For Spoon

I'd like to think they'd collect the spoon but 12 games at Football Park means a minimum of at least 5 wins at Footy Park and maybe a couple of lucky ones on the road. So anywhere between 5 and 9 wins I'd put my money on.

Are u saying that a interstate side will never get a wooden spoon again????

Pretty much. With a greater home ground advantage it's very very hard, unless of course you are Fremantle.

Well now u know what us victorians are sayin that interstate sides are advantage... and please dont say "but u victorian clubs play in melbourne 17 or 18 times a year"... but the thing is for example if hawthorn play melbourne at the mcg... there is no advantage or if essendon play richmond at the mcg... there is also no advantage... but interstate teams get 11 games at home so that gives them a huge advantage....

Im surprised Collingwood havent tried to buy the MCG and force other teams out.

Much rather play 18 games at home too than travel 10 times per year. :thumbsu:

Thats flawed logic though, the interstate sides are travelling 10 times a year to which you have described as being an advantage to the home team.

Therefore Adelaide, West Coast etc have 10 slight home game advantages, 2 netural games (derbies) and 10 games where they have a slight disadvantage and vic sides like Collingwood which have about 4 games (against interstate teams) with home ground advantage, 14 netural games and 4 games interstate games at a disadvantage. I think that works out to be pretty even.

I do agree with Rory that it is hard for a interstate side to finish bottom unless they are really pathetic, but as far as the better quality Vic sides I think the way the draw is done is pretty even in comparison to the interstate sides.

Hey a tip, seriously I wouldnt bother to put that bet on it's a waste of money, Adelaide wont finish bottom have you seen who Adelaide play twice this year. I am not expecting a stellar year, but I cant see Adelaide winning less than about 7 games.
