"Inspired by images of samurai in front of the rising sun, EJ Whitten soars in his most iconic image, silhouetted by the red sun, rising over a torii gate. A faint Kikkō (tortoiseshell) pattern is imprinted on the gurnsey. Emblazoned across the back is the Japanese text for "Yield to None", the club motto."

"Inspired with by the coastline with Japan being a collection of islands, the famous traditional Japanese style waves overlapping a modern take on the red sun setting (in the west of course) over mount Fuji. Asics also being a Japanese company also sees Japanese writing with their logo as well as the Western Bulldogs logo and Pedigree who also operate in Japan."
