how's Alex rolling along these days?

I haven't really heard anything since he was an emergency a month back, but I have heard David King has pretty big wraps on the boy (deserved too, having seen Alex during his junior days).

anybody been keeping an eye out for Richmond's next gem?

He's the draftee that I really want to see play.

I saw him play a few Devils games in the VFL and was impressed. Been a while since then but hope the kid cuts it.

I can see him playing on a half back flank in the long term, although I can also imagine him in the midfield (his shut down role on Josh Mahoney in a VFL game in 2003 was beautiful to watch).

I just hope his 7-goal performance in the VFL last year doesn't work against him, because I have never seen him really play as an effective/natural forward on any great scale.

he is going to be well worth the wait though (assuming he gets there).

you dont have to worry, he kicked those 7 goals playing mainly in the midfield.

He was named as an emergency a few weeks back so that was a good sign. Unfortunately he had another injury the week later, for some reason he hasn't been listed in our injury list so I'm not sure if he's right to go now or not.

With so many other players out, there could be a real chance for Alex to make his debut this year which would be great to see.
