I believe when he got to richmond they were very keen on him as a midfielder who can kick a goal in bursts up forward
good in the air and can win a footy
but was only round 69kgs does anyone know
if he has managed to bulken up at all
im guessing he will have to be around 75 - 78 before he can play his role with the bigger guys

last I heard he had been the biggest improver from the weights program...He's the great unknown this kid, heard big wraps, seen %^%$# all:o

Collins was picked up late in the draft (round 5 pick 73). On that alone you can't really except alot from him. He was probably borderline to be drafted. It really helped him that he played at Benidgo with high prospects like Conners and Selwood as, playing across the wing and in the backpocket, he drew a bit of attention.

Can't expect alot with pick 73, consdering he was injured alot this year.

he could easily become gothic if he felt so inclined and dyed his hair, mascarer. He'd be a modern day Danni Filth

If I may quote Weaver after the Bullants game early in the VFL season:

Andrew Collins - now this kid has the tools. I think we might have found our
late-round Rishitelli (an off-the-rader, unrated gem). Collins was classy with
his ball use. His kicking was wonderful at times. He looked like a 3rd year
pro with his poise, clean hands and class. Played as a centreman and looks like
a guy who has an AFL game. Tired badly and was running on the spot by the end -
also got plenty of breathers on the bench. When he gets some AFL level petrol
in his tank I really think we will add someone to the centre-square mix. And a
good one - no hoofer / tackler. Genuine must-stop centreman.

$%#@ it must have been good to have earnt the wraps Ive heard:eek:

**** off BJ.

The kid was injured basically all the second half of the year and had Connors conditioning when drafted, i.e. pretty shit, which limited his first half of this year.

What do you expect from a pick 73 in his first year let alone most 20+ picks who do about the same as him in their first year, bulk and try to get to AFL standard fitness?

That is why they called it the 'superdraft'.

It looks possible that we will get 5 AFL players from our 5 picks including a couple with star material.
