When you nominate for the draft you automatically nominate for a number of years. These guys listed would just be players who nominated last year and have 'carried over' their nominations to this year.

Dont think so. But you must have played in a relevent league or previously in a relvent league or some bullshit like that I believe.

yeah that is connors brother, I didnt realise that he was old enough to be drafted.

I do recall my old man once telling me, while he was coach of a team in the Kyabram District Footy League, a couple of their 2's players thought it'd be funny to nominate themselves. My old man fielded a few calls from a couple of clubs enquiring about them, he had a good laugh.

Don't think the clubs were to impressed but what do you expect?

They changed the rules from memory. Basically it used to be a free for all which created admin problems.

Then the AFL tried to make it that you had to have played for an affiliated league (VFL, TAC) everyone (particularly the Ammos) cried unfair.

They then changed it to blokes from affiliated leagues can nominate no problems. The rest (country, suburban etc) basically need a reference (coach, admin) to weed out the jokers.

He is bottom age, so I would say this draft he might be looked over or Rookied and if not picked up this year next year will be his year to be drafted.
