Give credit where credit's due - he made the preliminary squad so he has to be doing something right. I'm not 100 per cent sure whether he will go to the Caribbean and get selected in the 15 man squad.
I prefer to play Watson, who is not an unknown at this stage, before Mcdonald.

He goes ok, not International standard though.

I'm sick of people (not just Bushranger) saying that the selectors are biased against Victoria. They WERE, but that was due to the strength of the team, why would you drop batsmen averaging >45? These days we only have one player good enough to play for Australia, White. Hodge would go ok in the test team but I'd rather see a young guy in there. He (H0dge, pick up the joke there) shouldn't be near the ODI team.

McDonald joins the illustrious list of vic players that posters here have been jacking off over in recent times, such as Hodge, Dave Hussey, Moss, Jewell, Harwood, White, Klinger and Crosthwaite. Thats pretty much the whole team. Not a bad bunch, and rightfully doing well domestically, but international standard??!
