Yep, he is a decent player but not as good as Brisbane supporters make him out to be. Wouldn't get a game at top 8 clubs

He's OK. He'd get a game for most bottom 8 clubs but would only be depth at the better teams.

I don't think he'd be guaranteed a game at Richmond. As a tagger he's no better than Jackson (who is ordinary) his disposal is far too dreadful to be played as a genuine mid or flanker.

He will make any team as a tagger. Every game he limits any players effectiveness that is why no one got 3 brownlow votes playing against him this year.

Exhibit A: Rains showing off all the tagging prowess he has learnt at the Lions.
Its understandable that few Brisbane fans realise how bad he was/is, as there was only 22K fans there (one of their better turn outs for the season ).

FWIW, Raines been good this year, done good jobs on some of the best and can find the pill. Still not damaging with his disposal with those up and under kicks of his but doesn't mind a snap at goal once in a while. Been a good get for Brisbane whether he would make the tigers 22 or not.
