Andrew Walker said on BigPond Sports Weekend on Saturday:

"The first operation I had some anchors put in and usually if you have steady enough shoulders it all stays pretty tight but I have a pretty shallow shoulder joint which is a genetic thing so unfortunately it slipped out again....I went for my fourth operation on it and it had a bone done with so basically it's in there pretty tight now and hopefully it doesn't pop out again."

The Blues can only be stronger with him back....watch out the Bluesare coming

...and hopefully it doesn't pop out again

That's the understatement of the year.

With a season behind him, the possibility of including Yarran & Walker every week in our forwardline is pretty damn exciting...actually that is the understatement.

I remember reading that interview in one of the papers. Apparently big Cam Cloke has had the same op, meaning that a return to footy isn't unlikely at all.

It'd be fantastic to see Walks back, esp. if he can take ownership of a forward flank/pocket as his goalkicking is first-rate (as opposed to some of his field kicking).

I read somewhere else that 1AW thinks that with the latest surgery he had it would take a tractor to pull the shoulder out of its socket! :thumbsu:
Confidence in the surgery was fairly high and the fact that Cameron came back from similar surgery and has played with no strapping since.

Lets hope that the same result for Andy!

You wouldn't read about it... Tex showed up as a special guest at the Kinglake Community Rebuild Weekend and tried his hand at the Tractor Pull competition... :(

:D:D Methinks you've been spending too long practising your caber toss :p

a special YI :thumbsu:

I beg to differ.

There are always a lot of ifs in many scenarios, but IF or WHEN, the above happens, I will be one very happy boy.

Sprinkle a winning ruckman, and it may just well be checkmate to our opponents.

Interesting that we have won the ruck in 4 of our matches (Tigers, Bris, Ess & Pies) and lost the ruck duel by one tap out in another against Swans, we got beat in the ruck against Freo, Hawks and Dogs.
