It's not football related, its my mother. She is or has had it done tonight. ie, an ankle replacement.
But her problem was whether to have a replacement or a ankle fusion. As I understand it she has had the former which means she can have the fusion if the replacement doesn't work.
I realise this is not about advice seeing as the surgery has been done but I just wondered if anyone has any thoughts or information about it. She is over 70 (gulp) and healthy in any other respects just that I would like to know how anyone else dealt with this.
I have heard that the surgery went well but have no idea what actually has been done. Any information would be gratefully received.
