Very sad to report that eccentric music genius "Arthur Lee", lost his battle with leukemia last week, aged 61.
Leader of 60's psychedelic rockers "Love", Lee was responsible for the remarkable "Forever Changes" without doubt an absolute masterpiece to this day.
An erratic performer his career also included two other fine albums in "Love" and "Da Capo", a lengthy jail stint for firearm's offences, numerous sackings of band members, drug abuse etc. Exactly the way it should be done in my opinion!
Reformed a new Love after his jail release, only to be sacked from his own band ! The members could no longer stand his eccentric behaviour. Oh, the irony!
R.I.P. Arthur, at least my music collection is better off due to your magnificent contributions.
