Studied Python in relation to data crunching and a bit of computational intelligence.


It is a great language to start with. Many IDEs provide interactive diagrams and charts to assess what your program is outputting. I used Spyder a lot during my undergrad and even tapped into Tenserflow.


To my knowledge R is mostly statistical programming and it has specialties for that.


Python would be a great general usage language. It carries much of the functionality seen in other languages but with more recognisable syntax. GL to anyone that gives it a crack!
