Done mostly intermediate SQL queries for work which has helped by basic understanding, but as my career has stalled somewhat, still interested in coding but dabbling in something slightly different and creative.

Been chipping away at Python in small sessions after work last few weeks. My knowledge is still pretty small but are there cool non data related stuff people have created with it?

Stick with it for a bit, but think I might move over to learning Java.
