Great game for the 8 gamer. Gave us the target we needed up forward, Four goals, and 12 marks. Could he be the CHF we've be looking for since the last forever?

Should take home the rising star award as well. Reckon he'll get a game next week? :D

Really? His age, is it? He wasn't nominated last year... was he?

I could tell from last season that this guy was special and should be given a long run at CHF, he's a real gem, alot better option than Gardiner, who as I said is more suited a little deeper.

Well done son.

He wasn't nominated last year.

We have three rookies who are good players but too old to get nominated. Nicoski, Hansen and Bones.

Selwood could get nominated this year since he is 21 this year, with Waters also still eligble

hansen will never be a star chf, but if he does become anything good, it will be to the same level as brad miller, servicable, but not spectacular.

Don't you know how this works?

We are all supposed to get carried away and talk about him being the mesiah for the club - it's the BigFooty way!!!! :)

In all seriousness, I'd love to see that forward line in operation with Hansen playing like he did tonight, McDougall out of the goal square and Gardy lurking in the 50....

and a consistent and in form sampi at their feet....

I love his coolness under pressure when kicking for goal. Nothing seems to faze him and he kicks all the ones he should kick. If he can take marks inside 50 he generally hurts the opposition on the scoreboard.

very impressive tonight was the lad. presents, marks and goals. In tandem wih Gardi, Doogs, Lynch and the addition of Embley will hopefully be consistent avenues to goal in the coming weeks

Liked his game....led well marked well and is a good shot on goal. He's becoming more and more confident.

8 games, and already two bags of 4. He's very a very handy asset for our team and he can only improve which is fantastic.

Hardly put a foot wrong since making his debut against the Pies last year.

Gee he looks like a dangerous forward, doesn't he?

I loved his game. He is strong, quick and can take a grab. He is also pretty smart, he knows when to lead, where to lead, when to come to a contest or when to sit back. He is also pretty acurate in front of goal.

I dont want to get too excited but he looks really good!

That's a very premature assessment that might well come back and bite you on the arse!

I like this kid. Alot.

Any time you give a defence a run-a-round like he did last night, you know you've got something on your hands.

Liked his movement for a big man, as well as his presenting. His ground skills were exceptional for a bloke his size.

Shame he isn't eligible for the Rising Star nomination; would have been a shoe-in.

A future forward line of McDougall, Staker, and Hansen amongst others isn't looking too bad.

it's his first derby next week so lets see how he goes at backing it up. my guess is that he'll have mcPharlin play on him.

Yeah Ash is probably one of my favourite players, he's developing very nicely. McPharlin did play on him in the Wizzer Cup and Hansen fared pretty well on him.

Always knew this kid was special and I think barring injury he will have cemented CHF by the seasons end.
On another note, when was the last time any tall forward kicked 5 for us? I cant think of any since Lynch did in his rookie season. WHen Hansen was going for his 5th, deep down I think I knew he was going to miss it  . Is this some sort of hoodo??

And Jacko had 4 in his last game and couldnt get the 5th. I think the last tall forward to kick 5 was Quinten when he came off the rookie list (in 03 I think?)
