i was talking to john worsfold early january and he said he was very keen to get sampi rotating throught the midfield this year..I think in the latter part of sunday's game when he moved up to the ball he looked very good, and as we know if awesome around the packs!! do u guys think he can become a regualr part of the midfield this year?? obviously fitness is an issue as well..does he have the aerobic capacity to run out a game?????

I believe he will get his chance in the middle this week with Cousins out, and Damien Adkins to come into the side to fill his spot in the forward line.

Oow SAMPI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brian Taylor: "That is contender!"
Garry Lyon: "Thats more than a contender Brian - thats like a mark I saw Jeff Farmer take on some guy once"
Brian Taylor: "He got the lift and Yze rocketed him up!"
Garry Lyon: "Thats one of the greatest marks Ive ever seen!"
Brian Taylor: "There you have it folks one of the greatest marks Garry Lyon has ever seen"

A GREAT 2004 MOMENT!! - Play the kid up forward I say!!!!! :)

How many touches did RoJo have?

I know he had about 20 by half time.

Samps just hasn't managed to stay in the games since the North game.

I'd say he'll stay in for the Derby but has to find some form - or at least just get into the game a bit more.

I didn't think Samps was that bad last night. I have no idea how many possies he got, but i thought some of his defensive efforts and well as some of his work in close was quite good. I wasn't really watching for him and i haven't seen a replay yet but from what i remember he didn't stand out as having a shocker like he sometimes does although his miss was pretty bad.

Cox's goal was a direct result of Sampi's in and under work. At the moment he is getting a lot of the ball and he isnt kicking his usual goals but he is doing a lot of work that goes unnoticed by some Eagles fans IMO. He'll play against the Dockers.
