3 cheers for our great poster and mate ARR who underwent an operation this morning and will likely be out of action for a month or so, a great man with valuable insight that we all enjoy.
Also a good son who takes his Dad to Saints games religiously, and even to Sandy with a couple of dogs in tow!
A man whom I would not know if not for the BF Saints board.

A dramatic way to get out watching the Hawks, Swans and Freo games against us. Trust all goes well and he is back, well and posting on here again soon.

Beat me to it...

Why do I suddenly feel like every Saints BF thread just instantly became shorter...?

;)

(I love the man's work... or at least as much of it as I read before I run out of time and have to go do something else...)

ARR was clearly doping in order to achieve and maintain the strength and endurance required to create his signature lengthy posts. Unfortunately, it appears that, much like Essendon, he did too much too fast and his body has broken down under the workload.

Whatever it takes.

Sits at computer all day, has hand injury.

mmmmmmmm

99 change hands. All the best ARR, you'll be back on the training track in no time.

ARR has a condition which may have brought on his injury, and it certainly will affect his recovery.
I have the same condition - I cant write a short succinct post.
I always have to explain myself or get bogged down in details and before long the post is three paragraphs long. Not three little paragraphs either - three chunky paragraphs that just go on.

ARR may have found the cure to TLDRitis - he has a milder case than I do - maybe all I need to do is sever all the carpel tendons releasing my fingers from the dull drudgery of having to grip, having to type, to manipulate, doing all those mundane things that hands do :);):p

Arr? ARR!

Today, the 8th of August is henceforth known as Arrday, whereby all posters are required, under threat of lynching, to write posts that do not go shorter than 20 lines in length, minus media. This post is an exception because it's like one of those visual illusions as it's taken from the perspective of an ant and thus multiplied like 4000 ish times. If you don't buy that explanation, it's a proclamation so deal with it.

So says I! And I can't be wrong because if you read this far you already agreed. /cunningplan

Thanks for the kind words my friend and for the gesture, much appreciated and unexpected! :) :thumbsu:

If by indefinitely you meant 24 hours, you were correct, I think it's just my long posts that will be out indefinitely, unless I somehow learn how to speed-type with just the two fingers and thumb on my left hand! That said, how's this for timing, I saw an ad on Foxtel late last night for a $99 computer program that allows you to type through voice-recognition, so I might just check that out if I remember the name of it. Then my posts might get even longer, as I'll have so much extra time on my hands for the next month or more, ha ha! :D Dragon was the name of it. Well worth a look for those who type a lot for work or study. Apparently it's super-quick. :thumbsu:

Hopefully the long put-off op went well, but no-one said anything about it afterwards, so with any amount of luck i'll find out how successful it was when i go back in a week. Lots of rehab to come though apparently, but I had to make sure I was good to go by free agency/trade eternity, I mean month, in October, ha ha.

Yep, I'm looking forward to my Australian Of the Year nom to arrive any day now! :D Only kidding, I wouldn't go as far as saying I take him. He converted me from my Sydney barracking in 1990 and we both got memberships and ever since then have gone to pretty much all our games in Melb together.

Been a good journey with lots of up's and downs and hoping it will continue in a couple of weeks for our next home game. If we were playing tomorrow night I'd prolly go, but I was told to take it very easy for 48 hrs so I doubt very much we'll go tonight. Our team doesn't look too bad on paper though (how bad could it be if we don't have room for Schneider, Ross, Wright, Hickey and one or two others!) and theirs doesn't look as good without Buddy and Hodge, obviously, so it is tempting. Would also be disappointed to miss Minch's first game, as I've been looking forward to seeing him play for us for a fair while. Hoping he does some good things. :thumbsu:
