Rarely plays wizard cup games. Don't think he's played for a number of years. Definitely precautionary not injury. We generally use the early pre-season games to give the youngsters a run, and ease the senior guys in through the pre-season until our last pre-season game is nearly our run on Rd 1 squad.

Perhaps not! Our early season form over the last few seasons hasn't been the best.

It's bad and good that Hall ain't playing in the pre-season or whatever. But it also provokes those poor games early in the season. Our team doesn't play that well in the first couple of rounds. However, in saying that, it also allows the youngsters a chance to play since it' pretty hard for them to play in tne seniors due to our good runs with injuries.

But hey, we don't win premierships in April. In hindsight, its working pretty well.
