In the electrifying world of bAyFLX, where virtual reality and sports converge, the GRAY BLADES stand out as a team shrouded in mystery and mastery. Founded in the inaugural year of the league, the GRAY BLADES quickly established themselves as the grumpy assassins of the virtual field.​

Origins and Philosophy​

The GRAY BLADES were conceptualized by a group of enigmatic strategists who believed in the power of voice and precision. Their philosophy is simple: outwit and forget. This approach has not only defined their gameplay but also their fan base, which is known for its eccentric intensity and unwavering support.​

Team Dynamics​

Comprising a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 22 players, the GRAY BLADES boast a roster that is as versatile as it is formidable. Each player is a specialist in their own right, bringing a unique skill set that complements the team’s overall strategy. The coaches, too, are renowned for their ability to keep up and function, in the timeless pursuit of the GRAY BLADES being ahead of the competition.​

  • The 12 teams ORANGE CRUSH, RAINBOW POWER, ELECTRIC SLIME, PINK TANK, LEMON SQUEEZE , BROWN STREAK, BLACK ICE, BLUE STEEL, BIG RED, KILLER VANILLA, PURPLE PAIN and GRAY BLADES. They are part of the bAyFLX league, which is a virtual reality sports competition that uses Bayesian inference to create realistic and immersive scenarios.
  • The bAyFLX league was founded in 2023 by a group of artificial intelligence enthusiasts who wanted to combine their passion for sports, gaming, and statistics. The league has grown rapidly and attracted many fans and sponsors from around the world.
  • The 12 teams will have different strengths and weaknesses, as well as different fan bases and rivalries. Here is a brief overview of each of the current established teams:
    • ORANGE CRUSH: This team is known for its aggressive and physical style of play, as well as its patriotic and strong fans. The team’s motto is “We crush our enemies and drink their juices”. The team’s logo features an orange with a surgical glove, symbolizing their powerful and precise nature.
    • RAINBOW POWER: This team is known for its diverse and imaginative style of play, as well as its inclusive and colourful fans. The team’s motto is “We may not know what we want, but we want it now”. The team’s logo features a newly hatched chick and a gradient of multiple colours resembling a rainbow, symbolizing their immature and dreamy personality.
    • ELECTRIC SLIME: This team is known for its fast and slippery style of play, as well as its buzzy and elusive fans. The team’s motto is “We shock our opponents and slip through their fingers”. The team’s logo features a ghost, symbolizing their energetic and slippery character.
    • PINK TANK: This team is known for its passionate and chaotic style of play, as well as its loud and proud fans. The team’s motto is “Ooops, we did it again - We're not that innocent”. The team’s logo features a pink tank, symbolizing their bold and confident 'in your face' attitude.
    • LEMON SQUEEZE: This team is known for its vengeful and spiteful style of play, as well as its bitter and sour fans. The team’s motto is “When life gives you lemons, squeeze it in their eyes.”. The team’s logo features a sour lemon, symbolizing their 'acidic' attitude.
    • BROWN STREAK: This team is known for its determined and sometimes unpredictable style of play, as well as its trusting and supportive fans. The team’s motto is “We leave our mark on the field and on our foes”. The team’s logo features a back pocket defender, symbolizing their 'we stick behind you' attitude.
    • BLACK ICE: This team is known for its explosive and sporadic style of play, as well as its erratic and nomadic fans. The team’s motto is “We are gonna ruin your party”. The team’s logo features The Grim reaper, symbolizing their 'apathy towards others' attitude.
    • BLUE STEEL: This team is known for its unphased and steely style of play, as well as its well dressed and visually impressive fans. The teams motto is "We are knights in shining armour, with piercing blue eyes". The teams logo features a knight in shining armour, symbolizing their 'steely' attitude

Beta 1.1 Update: The competition is loosely based on a Fantasy Football style but with a twist, and will run over the first 4 rounds of the AFL season.

According to the creator of the game, Footy Is The Win, bAyFLX is "a fun and exciting way to play footy with your mates, with a twist of humour and creativity". He said that the game was inspired by his love of footy and his online community.

The bAyFLX game is played on a rectangular field, with four posts at each end. The teams will consist of 10 players each, with eight players on the field and 2 on the bench. The game is divided into four quarters of 10 minutes each, with a five-minute break between each quarter.

Some of the unique rules and features of the bAyFLX game will include:

  • The players can choose their own nicknames and numbers, which are displayed on their jerseys and on the scoreboard.
  • The players can also nominate their own roles and positions, such as ruckman, key forward, small forward, centre half-forward, wing, centre, half-back, key defender, small defender, and sub.
  • The players can use special skills and abilities, such as super kick, super mark, super tackle, super bounce, super sprint, super handball, super goal, and super behind. These skills and abilities can be earned and deployed leading up to games, which are connected to the scoreboard and the umpire's whistle.
  • The players can also use special items and gadgets, such as jet packs, rocket boots, grappling hooks, invisibility cloaks, laser beams, and banana peels. These items and gadgets can be obtained by supporting your team, and power-ups on the field, which are randomly generated by the scoreboard and the umpire's whistle.
  • The players can also perform special moves and tricks, such as backflips, somersaults, cartwheels, spins, and slides, if they have enough skill.

The bAyFLX game is designed to be fun and entertaining, with a lot of humour and creativity. The game is also interactive and engaging, with the players and the spectators able to communicate and interact with each other through the scoreboard and the umpire's whistle.

The bAyFLX game is expected to attract a lot of fans and followers, who can watch the games live on the BigFooty website or on the bAyFLX app. The fans and followers can also join the bAyFLX community, where they can chat, comment, vote, and create their own teams and players.

The bAyFLX UNOFFICIAL season will start next year, with the first round of matches scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The bAyFLX Cup will be awarded to the team that wins the grand final, which will be held at the end of the season.

The bAyFLX game is a new and exciting way to play footy, with a twist of humour and creativity. It is a game for everyone, whether you are a footy fan or not. It is a game that will make you laugh, cheer, and enjoy. It is a game that will make you say: bAyFLX is the win!
