Brad Ottens will cover his loss, but we will still have the same problems that we have had for the past 5 or 6 seasons. Long kicks from the midfield going to the centre half forward area only to be picked off by 3 or 4 opposition defenders.

For Geelong to win the premiership either Lonergan or McCarthy has to take on the CHF role and exceed even their own expectations.

Personally I can't see this happening and I think Ben Graham's loss will be devestating. We are still one key forward short of being a premiership threat.

Losing Ben Graham will hurt, but we have the potential to cover for him. Young forwards on the rise will one day fill the void, it's just a matter of whether it's this year or the year after etc.

Good luck to Benny, I hope he goes really really well, but I wish he stayed. I was looking forward to a Kingsley, Ottens and Graham forward line.

That would have been a great forward-line potentially..... But you couldn't have had all 3.

We haven't improved essentially as we have lost one forward but gained another however i think that ottens will be a more damaging forward as he is usually a reliable kick at goal unlike benny

Sorry cat fans but if you're gonna rely on ottens to kick goals you're in big trouble. Graham at least had the ability to kick a bag and cause some havoc in short bursts on the forward line. Ottens will never dominate a game. He hasn't in 7 years in an ordinary side. Gets a heap of tapouts to the opposition and that's about it.

Three duds. Kinglsley is the biggest waste of space walking around. He'd beat Troy Schwarze in a one on one and that's about it. Ottens was average in a very average team, and Benny Graham, loyal as he was, was not nearly devastating enough as a key position player. Magnificent kick yes, but shocking when he actually had to kick it in a straight line.
