Blind dates

Anyone had the misfortune to have been set up for one of these things? I have had (and Ive found this to be the case in most of these things) my mates wives/gf's have often been the ones to put forward the line "Oh ive got a friend who is just right for you". However now its taken an even new low.

My EX (still friends) is going on and on about setting up a date with this 'perfect for you' sheila she reckons she has found for me.

For gawds sake... NO. Not interested, not even close to interested. She of all people on this planet should know better...
its an unreal feeling (kinda depressing too in a way).

Right now Im happy (well content) with my own situation and when I feel like going out again then I will be the one to decide that course of action.

Blind dates.... bbbrrr...

Don't you hate that? It's amazing how many people think "oh how sad" when you are single, yet you can be quite content.

Not everyone is cut out for relationships, they can be quite infuriating at times. Being single can be great fun.

Ppl always try do this to me i dont think ive ever even been on a normal date except maybe in yr 7. The most annoying thing is when i go somewhere with my best friend and some of her friends will come along...every time its such and such wants you etc etc. How can someone if they have only just met me and don't even kno me

The worst thing about the blind date is when the other person is hot for you but you're not interested in them. You've got to go through that awkward stuff where they ask you to go out again and you have to umm and ahh and think of some lame excuse, either that or pull out the 'just friends' spiel. And they may give you their number and you don't want to call but you feel bad if you don't and then you may bump into each other in the street and you have to go through the torture of the awkward small talk. I'm with you on this one Grendel, the blind date is not good. Much better to hit the pi ss at a nightclub with your mates and try to pick up on the dancefloor.

I totally agree!

I was set up with this girl who couldn't get a date b/c guys were scared of her and pigeon holed her in the "stuck up" category.

She ended up being a babe with the best down to earth personality.

Four years later and she still sleeps in the same bed with me.

Was going okay, she was quite good looking, and the second thing she said to me was 'so I hear you are sleeping in my bed tonight"

Somehow I still fluffed it, it didnt help she spewed in the taxi on the ride home though.

The biggest myth out there in the "dating world" is miss "unapproachable" that cant get a guy cause none have the guts to talk to her.
Truth is they can get any guy they want and they merely choose the cream of the crop.
There unapproachable for us mere humans because frankly we dont have a hope in hell.
I am sure there nice girls and I have many friends that are like that but its terrible obvious they have very particular tastes and are rarely single or alone.
Its a fairy tale guys tell themselves "I bet guys never go up to her cause shes so beautiful, maybe if I say hi she will be so blown over she just jumps me"
