I didn't think so. I was really hoping Gary would poll in round 22 but as soon as they gave Lingy the 3 votes, I had a sudden flashback to after that game. On the walk back to the car I told a mate that I thought Ling was BOG. The umps got the 3 votes right in that game in my opinion.

You may be right, but then again Gaz might have polled better in a couple of earlier games. I think overall the umps did a good job over the season. Doesn't make us (or Gary) feel any better though... once a bridesmaid... so they saying goes... MVP award is a much higher esteemed award IMO, the players are the ones who have to play against him.. and there are more players to vote than umps to vote. Go Cats!!! Gaz will kill 'em on the day!
