Hey, hope you dont mind me visiting...I was going to post a thread about Ottens myself. How is he looking? Its hard to get any info, even on Geelong site. I reckon the guy was primed to have a great season for the cats. Obviously i'm interested because his availability may impact on the structure of both sides next week.

He's right to play (ie. he isn't injured) but he isn't really ready to go (ie. match fitness).

What was the thing in the addy last weekend about him breaking down? Was this just a beat up? Have you seen him training this week?

Yes, seen him training... he is right to go!

3-4 goals in the openning round.

My guess is he will have ruck duties in the forward 50 only. I think Blake may be retained and will share the ruck load with Kingy to leave Otto one out in the square.

i hope you're right hoff... imo ottens is the difference between us winning the big one or falling short again... Right now Blake has to stay in the team which will allow otto to play predominantly in the forward line where he can gain match fitness and still be damaging

i agree with you mr sensitive, ottens is THE key to geelong (anyone remember the contested marks and key last quarter goals versus port adelaide IN adelaide early last year???). but vs brisbane maybe they could go with mooney supporting king in the ruck and with ottens at full-forward? good to know though that ottens is ready to go, thanks for the info hoff.

Sorry thehoff, had to fix up your post.

Seems as though you accidently put a - in between his proposed goal kicking for the upcomming match.

34 goals in the openning round.

Now that's better.

Sorry buddy... My mistake... We are going to attempt to beat our previous highest score against Brisbane :D

I want to see him have one of those games like he did in his AA year with Richmond where he just marks everything that comes near him. If they are tight on the rules this year he should get a LOT of free kicks as he is manhandled so much. The best thing is he always gets his hands on the ball in a contest, he will have a game soon where it all sticks, it would be nice to have the King against Melbourne and the Ottens from the Port game opening round.

If we had that for the entire season, we might as well grab the cup and leave now as we would be holding it aloft come 30 September 2006.

Leave him alone ..ALL OF YOU..... YES ALL OF YOU

Dont expect too much from the Big O for a few weeks, I reckon round 4 against the doggies. The big fella (all of the big fellas take a few weeks to get into it. As long as he gets a couple each week and builds up the fitness all is right with the world. If he is short of a run let KK anf NA kick a few (if they get on the park), or Big H, Mackie even.

I know he is a big key so is Kingy together they can both take us somewhere special.

Personally neither of them are the key, i think for us to go all the way we need them but I dont think we could get there without the General. Scarlo is critical to us winning and losing.
