I had my doubts, but he has shown me I must say. He has been getting better every game, and this week against the Dees was just great!
I hope he continues his form through the season, and you never know what could happen. I hope this is the catalyst for bigger and better things from Grgic!

It will be interesting to see what we do with Grgic once Harley comes back into our defence. Perhaps Grgic could be used in a forward role, maybe across half forward.

Since day one i've maintained that all Gerge needed to succeed was some faith from those on high. He's finally got some and is playing really solid football.
If he continues to work hard, i don't see why he can't fulfill the enormous potential that he possesses.

Ditto.
He just needs regular game time to get his confidence up and he showed what he can do when he gets that game time. He was instrumental in our last quarter demolition of Melbourne, setting up many goals and kicking a vital one himself.

It's funny you should mention that... there was a Melbourne supporter near me on Saturday saying exactly the same thing until Grgic kicked that long goal in the last quarter.
After that, he shut up real quick!!

He had a lot on his mind down at Melbourne, and I for one don't blame him.
I'd hate to shower with a bunch of hair dying wanna be pretty boys straight after the game too.

haha......Grgic had alot on his mind!!!...the kid got 50 for his VCE/ENTER....Grgic would rarely have much on his mind.
Grgic was the biggest pretty boy at Melbourne....he probably spent more time in front of the mirror then on the track.
Of course there's no pretty boys at Geelong..... COUGH Ablett Jr COUGH Milburn COUGH Bartel...
Can't argue with this one....if your over 190cms and have two legs Phatandphreaky then you'd probably get a game in the Melbourne backline...possibly even fullback.
I guess one goal and one game means the world down at Geelong. take a look at the ladder now and take a look at it at the end of the season as well.
I'm not denying Grgic has improved....but Bizzell will always be better.

I wasn't saying one goal and one game changes everything, I was merely making a comment that I found this Melbourne supporter (who also bagged the crap out of Russell Robertson) to be very amusing with his rather stupid comments.
And as for taking a look at the ladder, I wouldn't be making any comments at this early stage of the season... it's not like Melbourne have set the world on fire either.

BTW, did anyone notice the Police helicopter flying over Melbourne on Sunday?
I heard they were still out searching for the 22 Melbourne Football Club players who went missing midway through the 3rd quarter at Skilled Stadium on Saturday.

anyways, i'm not convinced Grgic is as good as they say he should be...at least not until he strings together a whole season of good games

Brent Grgic hadn't been given much opportunity at Geelong until now.
