BTK- Blind, Torture, Kill. Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_Rader
Denis Rader, a man who terrified Wichita, Kansas in the 1970's and continued killing until 1991. A wolf in sheep's clothing who managed to evade police throughout his actual time killing, and was only caught after re-engaging with them in 2004. Had he not re contacted them, he may well have got away with it all and taken the secrets to his grave. But his lack of knowledge in regards to the fact the police could look at where the files on his floppy discs had been loaded was the end of him
I read the book "Unholy Messenger, The Life and Crimes of the BTK Serial Killer" and it was an excellent read. Chilling, but excellent. It detailed all of his kills and his life right up until his arrest
The fact that his wife and children had no clue is amazing, and what it would have done to them once the info came out after the arrest. You'd feel beyond betrayed and a life wasted with such a monster
Anyone else read much about him?
