Umm just adding a topic really as there was only one on here. Nice work Bluey with the new boards and all, still not too sure about the wrestling one though

Anyways on the topic, apparently Charles Oakley has agreed to terms to come back to Chicago for 2002/3 season!! Good we needed a guy that would do the dirty work and Oak is certainly the guy. Hopefully we will be more active on the market this offseason to make up for the loss of Brand

ah.. great board...

i'm not a bulls fan..
actually, i'm not really a fan of any team..
as its hard to pledge allegiance to any pro bball team, that trade players so quickly and often like that...

just a huge fan of the game, and of several players...

anyway.. re oakley...
he'd be great for the young bulls...
returning to the team where he posted his best ever numbers..
surprised he headed back to the bulls.. i'm sure his services were coveted by many teams...

I agree, im surprised that the Raptors didnt keep him. But its good that he is back, he will be a great leader of a very young team and should lead by example. Should be good for Chandler to learn from him as he has seen and been through it all.

Just hope for more moves in the next few weeks.

Coxon what players are you a fan of?

Eddie Robinson (Charlotte) has agreed to a five-year contract with the Bulls worth $30M too. It won't be finalised until the free-agent signing period starts on the 18th, but that should help your young Bulls jod.
Also seems like Ewing will sign with the Magic along with Horace Grant, Davis will re-sign with Raptors, Weatherspoon will sign with the Knicks...and the 'silly season' is only beginning.

I heard about E-Rob coming to Chicago but i didnt know they had agreed to anything. He should make a good aquistion but we are still lacking a general star. Where did you hear about Ewing and Horace Grant?????????

That would be huge!

Jod, the Ewing & Grant deal was speculated on espn.com:

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Orlando Magic have reached a tentative agreement with free agent center Patrick Ewing, according to a published report.
The Orlando Sentinel reported Friday that the Magic have come to terms with Ewing, who played last season with the Seattle SuperSonics, and are hoping to do the same with power forward Horace Grant.

So there ya go, i guess we'll find out later today once the signing period begins if it's official.
If ya want a fair idea of where all the free-agents are signing, go to this page:

maybe i should start a new post... fave players and why...

latrell sprewell....
allen iverson...
c.webber...
penny hardaway... (argh, shut up..hehe)

ok, i'll do a post on most hated players....

Webber

Heard or read a report that Chris Webber might end up in Indiana to play with his old college team-mate Jalen Rose. Now that would be something if they could get the fab five back together again.

Do the Kings have the last bid on him, as happens in the AFL here, and if they don't match the bid, he then goes? Personally, I'd like to see him stay in Sacramento, they have the potential to build a team that can go all the way. Besides, it gets too boring if the same sides keep winning. ('cept the Lakers ;) ) It would be good for the comp if the Raptors, Mavs, etc keep improving, keep it fresh and exciting.

I think Webber will stay in Sacramento and should be better next year with the acquisition of Bibby to handle the point. With Peja getting better thay should be alright.

Outkast - On that Ewing news which i have now read about on NBA.com. Imagine if he does go to the Magic with Horace Grant. The Lakers lose Ho Grant, the Magic have a lineup of Ewing, Grant, T-Mac and Hill!! Thats a pretty nice lineup. Ewing and Grant to stifle Shaq's input and Hill and T-Mac to provide the scoring. There a couple of role players off a championship. Thats all of course if it happens.

yeah.. i really hope cwebb stays with the kings...
they are going to be a much improved team, thanks to bibby...
peja, doug christie, bibby, webber, divac.... ahhhh.. greatttt.

Agreed, you even left out Rookie of the Year Mike Miller, guess all they need is a better point (no disrespect to D.Armstrong) and some depth...although the Lakers proved you don't necessarliy need both to win a championship.
Also glad to see CWebb stay in Sacramento, they are an exciting team to watch so hopefully they'll challenge the Lakers in the West.

Another big move, Toronto have met with Hakeem Olajuwon believe it or not with a multiyear deal, as reported on espn.com.
Also Mitch Richmond could be heading to the Lakers.
As Bill Lawry would say "It's all happening..."

Well Richmond was waived by the Wizards about a week and a half ago but i havent heard anything of his move to the Lakers. Nor have i heard anything on the Olajuwon front.

But those Orlando Magic rumors both went through with Ewing and Ho Grant both going to Orlando. Armstrong is a solid poing guard and stepped it up last year in the absense of Hill to average 15ppg and 7apg. They are solid numbers, now throw in a healthy Grant Hill, a dominant T-Mac and the youngster Miller and thats a good line up. Work horse in Outlaw on the bench too? Could be interesting to see if they make any more moves.

Whats the deal though with Ewing playing #6??????? I think Hill has 33 at Orlando but you would think out of respect to the great man that you would change your number for maybe just one year as it seems that is all Patrick has left?

yeah, have some respect for the man ewing #33 !! hehe..

yeah, i forgot to mention Tmac... that guy is a complete ass-kicker... he is also excellent to use in nbalive.. everytime i use him, i get sooo many blocks.. more so than mutombo.. hehe... g.hill better realise he is not the man at orlando...

mitch richmond to lakers, hakeem rumours..yeah, so far are just rumours... but, its fun to speculate tho

A few more moves...
Dan Majerle back to the Suns
Jon Amaechi moved to Utah
Avery Johnson finalised his move to Denver

And more rumours...
Samaki Walker to Lakers
Anderson 50/50 to stay at Spurs
Bruce Bowen has turned down the Heat's final offer

...not much else has happened today

Hope the hehe concerning Ewing number is a joke. Cos Ewing is a LEGEND of the game and i think Hill should show more respect and give it up for Patrick.

Dont agree with your Hill not being the man in Orlando comments. Hill may not have the explosive scoring of T-Mac but Hill is a complete player, he can do it all, score, rebound, assist, steal, block. He is the man.

Orlando will be a force next year, with Hill leading the way.
