It's great fun, especially online. Highly recommend it. Graphics are excellent on HD, and the sounds are even better. Love it.

Looked awesome and even though I am normally not a car game fan this looked too fun to pass up!!!

I didn't know it was out in Aust yet, EB had the "Coming Soon" card on it last time I checked.

Not out till next thursday in aust, on ps3 and xbox 360.

Played the demo a fair bit online with the 360. It has online ability and i didn't experience any lag on 512/128

Just had it dropped off to my house no more than 10 minutes ago.

Am going to fire it up in about a half an hour, for a few hours play, will give my feedback once I drag myself away from it, probably wont play online until later tonight though.

Got so carried away with it forgot to come on here and give my thoughts.

Well I will now anyway:

Graphics: Superb graphics, excellent lighting, lush, bright and wonderfully massive city with no framerate drops or loading times.(10/10)

Sound: Everything sounds fine and works well, no repeated lines from the DJ, Soundtrack is relatively pathetic, about 5 or 6 good songs, especially the title song(Guns 'N Roses!!!), with the 360 you will be able to customise your own tracks though, hopefully that will come to the PS3 with updates.(7.5/10)

Gameplay: Nothing breakthrough in terms of gameplay except for it being completely open world, races and everything else is solid, nothing too over the top, but nothing groundbreaking either.(6/10)

Online: Undoubtedly the best part of this game, no lag whatsoever, huge amount of possibilities, challenges, races, just driving around, plenty to do and will have you playing for months and months.(10/10)

Overall: Nothing groundbreaking in terms of games, the open world really offers lots of possibilities though, the lack of menus is brilliant, with just a push of a D-Pad to get you online and whatnot, my final words would be this is definetly a game to buy, with about 75ish cars to collect, online that will go for a long time and a competent story mode, will keep you going for a fair while.(8.5/10)

i have burnout revenge. to me it got old pretty quick, but i definately think if i got this game the online capabilities would get me back more and more, it's been the case for fifa08 as well.

No lag for me. You can just join games instantly in the middle of driving. It's an excellent setup.

I never played revenge, so I'm not 100% sure, but it wasn't open world was it? I think Paradise is the first game of the franchise that is open world. It's brilliant.

yeah revenge was confined to the course you had to follow to the collusion. etc

Do the burnout games ever come to PC or are they console only?

PC really needs a good racing game. DiRT is apparently very average in every area except for the graphics.

Got it tonight. Its awesome, especially the online part.

Just get a heap of mates together, set your own challenges and take each other out. Great fun

A new patch has been announced for Burnout.

These are some of the things that will be in it.

• We're going to be running road rule timers in all events and online challenges.
• Tuning Online Takedown logic & physical behaviour to iron out instances where it doesn't feel fair.
• Increase online race timer timeout so players have a greater chance of finishing the race.
• Fix drifting bug when drifting and boosting there wasn't any real control on the brake so players would grind around the walls of the corners. Getting better control.
• Boost fix, stabbing the boost has too much of a jerky behaviour in the car handling.
• Surround sound fix - Centre speaker was 4dB louder, ruining the mix and the speech has now been positioned correctly.
• Tweak Marked Man gameplay AI, was easy to exploit by driving in reverse.
• Increase the # of search results returned for online games.
• Increase Picture Paradise timer so it doesn't kick in so quickly.

There are other things being worked on and this that have been taken into consideration too.

Bought the game based on the first few recommendations on this site, and am bitterly disappointed in it.

I have liked previous burnouts, but this is just rubbish. Gets boring in about 20 minutes.

Do yourself a favour and dont buy it. better off investing your money in emu farms.

Yeah, i lasted a week. The online was cool, but repetitive.
