Really? That's good. I haven't seen a motherboard with onboard video that also had an AGP slot - but I stand by the comment that you'd be better off getting a motherboard WITHOUT onboard video, sound and network, and buying those components seperately.

You're right. It is probably better to do so. Makes it much easier to upgrade. I will slowly upgrade my computer with a different motherboard, but at the moment it is all I need.

Plus if something goes wrong, it is fairly cheaply replaced!
 
That's a reasonable way to go about it.

It's just not the way that I do it, which of course doesn't make it wrong.

I'd think your method would be the best for people who want a vaguely decent machine for as cheap as possible.
