If we have to lose Kerr, then in the trade we could involve cassisi in the trade somehow, it will involve port getting Didak us getting cassisi and a first or second round pick and kerr to collingwood. Cassisi is a decent player whose around Kerrs age and is from WA who would experience to our team if we lose Kerr. Thoughts.

i would only be happy to involve cassissi in the trade as long as it meant he went "somewhere else" that is not West Coast ...

not a fan of his work

Pick 4 plus Cassisi for Kerr (plus a third-rounder or something maybe) would be a good trade if we were resigned to losing Kerr.

From what I've heard though Cassisi's pretty happy where he is.
As good as Kerr is, that's probably over the odds

And From all reports Dom is very happy at Port - I think he just signed a new deal

Hypothetically speaking if we did do a 3 way deal theres no way we could pass on Boak. An absolute star for the future!

No!
We need pace in the midfield, Rich would Kerrs role, if Masten hasn't recovered from OP, so I would be more inclined to deal with say Essendon, and say 1st and 3rd round picks + Leroy Jetta, that would do me.
or Kerr and pick 20 for 1st, 2nd + Jetta
that would give us picks 2,5,18,23,37 + jetta :thumbsu:

Our midfield would look like this if we lost Kerr
FB:Waters, Glass, Nicoski
HB:Bones, Wlikes, Embley
C: Rosa, Masten, Hurn
HF:Ebert, Kennedy, LeCras
FF:McKinley, Hunter, Jetta
RR: Cox, Priddis, Butler
INT: Lynch, Brown, Rich, McNamara
All the Bolded players could run through t he middle, Add Lynch and Nico if you like! but that looks ok to me.:thumbsu:

Some how guys, i doubt whether the eagles will let kerr go.
Also i believe the pies may retain Didak.
Kerr is trying to secure his long trem future which is quite understandable.
That's why he has requested a 4 year extended deal with the eagles.
After judd and cousins exits, Kerr's management knows that your salary cap would be under therefore considering he is an experienced player he wants his worth paid up in $$$$ and security, which i guess is fair enough.
His management would also be aware that collingwood, carlton, richmond, essendon are all lining up to secure his services if an agreement with West Coast is not reached.
I believe Kerr is quite happy to stay with the Eagles if they extend his contract for 4 years, otherwise he has requested to be released early from his existing contract which expires end of next year.
Kerr from what i have read,is open to moving east to any of the clubs i have listed above if a contract extension is not worked out with the eagles.
Didak on the other hand, has just signed a new 2 year deal and does not want to be traded. It is now up to the club to decide his fate.
If port Adelaide said to collingwood we will give you our pick 3 and say steven salopek or boak (which is highly unlikely) our club would have to seriously consider it,otherwise he stays.
Kerr however is just after a long term deal at the eagles, which you guys should give him, especially since your amassing a relatively young side and a player of kerr's ability does not come around often.
Collingwood in the end i reckon will keep Didak and we will not get kerr, but in with a chance to get Benny Cousins who i am very excited about.
Either way good luck guys during trade time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
