OFFICIAL STATEMENT — ALLIES STATE OF ORIGIN TEAM

Today, I’m announcing that I will be stepping down as Captain of The Allies State of Origin Team, after our heavy defeat to Vic Metro cost us a place in the upcoming Grand Final

It has been an incredible honour & privilege to lead this group. I’m extremely proud of what we achieved together — especially guiding the Allies to back-to-back State of Origin titles, something that will always remain a highlight of my Qooty journey

While I won’t continue as Captain, this isn’t a goodbye to playing altogether — there’s every chance you’ll still see me out on the field in future events, giving my all for the team I love

To whoever is chosen to lead The Allies next, you will have my full support & respect. I have no doubt the team will continue to grow & succeed under new leadership

Thank you to my Teammates, Coaches & the entire Allies Community for trusting me & standing with me through the highs & lows. I look forward to watching the next chapter unfold from a new perspective — & hopefully still being part of it on the ground when called upon
