According to the Sunday Herald Sun, an unnamed AFL footballer is being sued in a civil court over a sexual assault incident from a couple of years ago.
It was pretty clear which incident they were talking about. Not sure which of the two players though.
Even though the player had been cleared of criminal charges a civil case is easier for the victim to win. Apparently less evidence is needed.
I'm guessing they will settle out of court, because a civil case is all about the money. I hope it does not affect on-ground performance.
