Got an invite to the Beta and decided to check it out. Obviously the beta is based on the free version of elite and im finding that it serves no real purpose (not having Black Ops anymore probably doesn't help either) im not real big on stat tracking and i dont care what kdr ive got for each gun or what killstreaks ive used so im left underwhelmed by the whole thing. If i had black ops i might try some of the competitions on there but other than that....meh.

TBH im only getting Elite for the map packs, clans, hd video uploads and connection with mobile apps.

Anyone else on here thats in the beta, i made a Big Footy group so join it

It's a $69 reverse lay-by for maps over a 12 month period. In a world of 60 month interest free TV's it's amazing these knobs have the gumption to get people to pay in advance.

I see no real problem with it. If people want to pay in advance, so be it. The only real problem would be if they release 1 map pack and say "Thats all you're getting" but that won't happen, as they'll want to suck some money out of people who don't buy Elite and are just gonna get the odd bit of DLC here and there

In the end, i don't think they'll have heaps of people paying for it seperately. Those that want it, will just get a Hardened edition with it included
