No to Sylvia. I don't mind him as a player, but he isn't exactly what we need. I would be going for someone younger with pace & good skills. I quite like Sam Blease, still young & raw but he can add a lot of outside pace that we are missing.

you'll find that the Swans don't recruit tools. their focus is on players who don't fit in either because of player attributes mean they aren't getting games (Josh Kennedy, Mummy, McGlynn) or personality fall out/plain lazy (Morton)

I'd be surprised if they were interested in Sylvia.

And I'd be worried if he joined us. Teaming up Swan he'll form a bit of a rat pack.

Sylvia could've been something if he was drafted by a strong club eg us or Swans or Hawthorn. I think he is going to join the ranks of the great unfulfilled.

Probably the 2nd as in personality misfit
The other thing is that both Plugger and Hall didn't enjoy the suffocating atmosphere of being a star player in Victoria (maybe it was the St Kilda culture?) and in the end they thrived on the anonymity in Sydney.

I just have a sense that Sylvia is past redemption unless he has some sort of life-changing episode (is he a dad?).
