I remember the 2003 World Cup and this young Kenyan fella did pretty well with his leggies.

He was tagged as a potential bowling all-rounder.

Now he still is in the Kenyan XI regularly, yet almost never bowls (twice in his last 17 matches) and doesn't bat much either.

Does anyone know what happened?

Took 5 fa against SL if I remember correctly, not certain on it though. I remember his dances, they were awesome.

There was onw wicket he got, where he just set off, arms, legs going everywhere. He ran a lap just about.

According to his Cricinfo profile:
He missed his next chance on the big stage when appendicitis ruled him out of the 2004 Champions Trophy, and he then joined the players' strike which followed before heading to South Africa to play club cricket. His continued to struggle with his bowling, and in November 2005 he went to Australia for five weeks to spend time with Terry Jenner in a bid to recapture it. That failed, and Obuya had to develop his batting and he now plays as a specialist batsman and a very good fielder.

Shame for Kenya that his bowling went south.
