Commonwealth games 2006

Anybody excited about the Commonealth games coming to Melbourne in 2006? I recall plenty of excitement when we got them and i'm sure we will do a great job but----
Will tickets be affordable ?
Will it be good for us?
Will you go ?


Personally if affordable i'd go. be great to be at the 'g for the opening /closing ceremony, but i might have to start saving now!

I like it when other countries have to pay for Australia to win lots of gold medals. It seems redundant to make them to give to ourselves.

No Tenpin Bowling= No go for me(if its in i'll be one of the 100 or so in Australia good enough to try out)

The opening & closing ceremonies will be expensive and tickets about as rare as rocking horse manure, similar with the swimming.
But the rest of it should be fairly affordable. And, with the MCG fully up and running, I doubt the athletics would be any harder to get tickets for than an Anzac Day blockbuster.
I'll go for sure. I enjoyed the Olympics, and even though this is a much smaller scale, it'll be great fun.

Given it's still some time away, my excitement wil rpobably build as it gets closer...reckon the cricket tournament will be an absolute highlight!!!
