I just read the moderator's post on thinking twice before posting - the rising incidence of abuse in the collingwood forum.

As a community service, I willing to offer my services for people who feel the need to abuse someone. I realise that a lot of people get upset for no apparent reason and need to vent.

Please try to be polite with your abuse. I like to keep it friendly. After all, we're all here to have fun...

But seriously, the abuse of the "negative" posters needs to just stop. It's just shit and it further fuels spit between posters. If you can't ignore it like an adult, or debate it rationally, then switch off the computer for a while.

From what I see, it's not so much people being negative that others object to. It's just being a poor poster, in terms of using inaccurate language, making untrue statements, or otherwise talking crap. And a few people you're likely referring to, in my view at least, are just trolling for a reaction.

So maybe if those people posted better stuff they'd get a better response?

That said, I have most of the more irritating posters on "both" sides on ignore, so maybe I'm missing some stuff.
