You seem like a smart guy, why do so many of my friends (who are way smarter than me) keep falling for it hook, line and sinker?

Seems a lot of people in here were right.
They did get the numbers wrong on what they called a CV19 death

Hundreds of coronavirus deaths in Australia's first wave of the pandemic may have been attributed to strokes, diabetes, pneumonia, flu and dementia due to limited testing.

Modelling by the Actuaries Institute shows there were more than 500 unexpected deaths in March and April, with researchers suggesting many of them could have been from undetected COVID-19. The figures have fuelled speculation coronavirus may have been circulating in the community in higher numbers than first thought.

Only 56 COVID-19 deaths were recorded over the four weeks from March 17.

Jennifer Lang, convener of the working group, said it was "statistically plausible" that the true figure was two to three times higher.

Because if you begin to question this farcical situation, then one's entire world-view - up till now - is shattered.

People don't like being told they've been wrong about things & the ways of the world for their entire lives....That's a bridge too far for some.

Sutton openly said on the podium, they are classing every single death of a person who dies with the virus as a covid death. 'With' or 'of' is not relevant. What's left if we take the 'died with' numbers away I wonder? There is nothing solid to substantiate your claim.

Seems he's an intelligent thinker that's not influenced by propaganda. Shame he had to quit to speak out!

"The pandemic policies being pursued in Australia, particularly Victoria - are the most heavy handed possible, a sledgehammer to kill a swarm of flies.
These policies are having a hugely adverse economic, social and heath effects, with the poorer sections of the community that don't have the ability to work from home suffering the most.

Australia is signaling to the world that it is closed for business and doesn't care for human freedoms. This will dampen business investment but also impact future skilled migration, the education industry and tourism.

The whole thing hinges on the scare created by politicians and health professionals. For instance Victoria's Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton claims "this is the greatest public health challenged since the Spanish flu".

But this is no Spanish flu - we can verify that easily.

The Spanish flu killed at least 50 million people would wide in 1918 when the global population was 1.8 billion. Proportionately, to be as lethal as the Spanish flu, a virus would have to kill at least 210 million people today. Instead around 0.9 million have died so far and compare this with 60 million who ordinarily die each year.

What about a second wave? There has never been a second wave hundreds of times bigger than the first. We can be reasonably certain that while this virus may create further ripples, its ultimate magnitude will end up in the range of the 1957 Asian flu.

The need for good policy does not disappear just because we have a health crisis.

But even is the pandemic had been as big as the Spanish flu, lockdowns could never have been justified. There are strong scientific arguments against lockdowns too.

So what should the government have done? The date was clear from February, that the elderly are many times more vulnerable to a serious outcome than the young. It was necessary therefore, to work out a targeted age-based strategy and start aggressively protecting and isolating the elderly, with the rest of the po9polulation advised on relevant precautions. But that wasn't done.

The Victorian Guide to Regulation notes that "It is not possible for governments to provide a completely 'risk free' society, or to prevent every possible event that might cause harm". Further: "The direct and indirect costs imposed by regulatory approaches may not be ... immediately obvious. Risk regulation that is poorly targeted or costly will divert resources from other priorities." ...

While there is scientific argument against lockdowns, there are divergent views on matters such as the effectiveness of masks. I am a mask fanatic, but there was never any reason to mandate these debatable requirements.

So, what happens now? Billions of dollars in income have been wiped out in the name of a virus that is no worse than the Asian flu and which, even now, can be managed by taking a range of voluntary, innovate measure to protect the elderly. All the border closures, all the lockdowns. al the curfews in Melbourne will not eradicate the virus from planet Earth."

Edward Snowden on JRE yesterday discussed politics, medias involvement and the games to dictate narrative. Its what we see playing out now with corona..

Interesting listen if you have time.

I still think when it done people will embarrassed by their reactions. Many on hawk dorks side will claim they knew it was overblown much earlier than they really did. Many deleted posts etc

Just a shame its taking longer than i thought it would. Dumbest period in human history. We will be laughed at by future students, make no mistake

Called a fascist turd by the owner
Nice
Leading by example on big footy seems to be flowing freely
Interesting because the definition of fascism describes what's happening in Victoria and what Dan Andrews and his supporters on here are promoting. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/fascism

1. a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
2: a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control

Doesn't seem to be a coincidence as to how the world was convinced.

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained for only such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It this becomes very important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent. For the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension the mortal enemy of the State."

"The essence of Propaganda consists of winning people over to an idea, so sincerely, so vitally, that in the end they succumb to it utterly and can never escape from it."

“Success is the important thing. Propaganda is not a matter for average minds, but rather a matter for practitioners. It is not supposed to be lovely or theoretically correct. We do not want to be a movement of a few straw brains, but rather a movement that can conquer the broad masses. Propaganda should be popular, not intellectually pleasing. It is not the task of propaganda to discover intellectual truths.” or

"It's not propaganda's task to be intelligent, its task is to lead to success."

"Propaganda works best, when those who are being manipulated are confident they are acting of their own free will."

"It is the absolute right of the State to supervise the formation of public opinion."

"This is the secret of Propaganda: Those who are to be persuaded by it, should be completely immersed in the ideas of the propaganda without ever noticing they are being immersed in it."

"We have made the Reich by propaganda."

"Think of the Press as a keyboard that the Government can play."

There's an excellent 3-part series by James Corbett on the Old British Empire morphing into the NWO, with the Boer wars & the First World War serving as the beginning of the implementation of those plans....The Bolshevik Revolution & the instilling of Mao in China also informs major aspects to those plans, in implanting the Hegelian dialectic of an either-or, only 2 styles of opposing polar-opposite governments.

Yeah, It's never the vaccine that cause's the adverse reaction.

I'm pretty sure you can't just randomly get transverse myelitis out of the blue.

https://www.smh.com.au/business/com...nked-to-shot-oxford-says-20200917-p55wdc.html
The drug maker’s chief executive Pascal Soriot (when talking to his investors), claimed that in July the first subject to get transverse myelitis which led to a multiple sclerosis diagnosis, was unrelated to the vaccine. Just a co-incidence apparently.

Then, even though Soriot admitted in the current UK trial the woman who had the vaccine has a rare but serious spinal inflammatory disorder called transverse myelitis and they are waiting to see if she also has a MS diagnosis. Not clear whether she's still in hospital, but the UK trials that were shut down were restarted in the UK.

The US has not restarted their trials of this vaccine as they are awaiting further safety information.

The NIH has yet to obtain tissue or blood samples from the British patient, and its investigation is “in the planning stages,” Nath said.

U.S. scientists could look at samples from other vaccinated patients to see whether any of the antibodies they generated in response to the coronavirus also attack brain or spinal cord tissue. Such studies might take a month or two, he said.

The FDA declined to comment on how long it would take before it decides whether to move forward.

Neurologists who study illnesses like transverse myelitis say they are rare — occurring at a rate of perhaps 1 in 250,000 people — and strike most often as a result of the body’s immune response to a virus. Less frequently, such episodes have also been linked to vaccines. Not sure how that works when one country says it's safe and another says we don't have enough information to say it's safe.

More worrisome is a phenomenon called “molecular mimicry.” In such cases, some small piece of the vaccine may be similar to tissue in the brain or spinal cord, resulting in an immune system attack on that tissue in response to a vaccine component.

Should that be the case, another occurrence of transverse myelitis would be likely if the trial resumed

In 1976, a massive swine flu vaccination program was halted when doctors began diagnosing a similar disorder, Guillain-Barré syndrome, in people who received the vaccine.

You know what I love about the covid crazies, ( great name by the way GoldenSky ) is they are so determined to blast anyone who dares calls it not that bad of a virus and respond with childish comebacks such as....

1. But usa
2. But Spain, France, England etc
3. It's not just a flu ( this drives them crazy so keep doing it i say )
4. Death numbers, they actually get off on death numbers, how sick is that.
5. Your a tin foil hatter, anti Vaxxer etc etc

And last but not least

6. You horrible granny killer.

You can't talk to them as they are set in their ways and will always disagree with you even when they know they are wrong.

Covid crazies: those who swallowed the narrative and believe everything their government bullshits them who think they are the smartest people in the world about Covid when all they do is repeat what their beloved government feeds them.

Nah look I think we'll leave the unhinged abuse directed towards me here it's done now.

Anyhoo back to Corona, fear and death.

Wise policy....This has become the sole refuge for those of us who exist outside the bounds of the collective PC, hive-mind 'group-think'....We don't want to provide an alibi for them to take that away from us.

Even if we are hidden away in the dank recesses of the big footy subterranean vaults.

122 cases in my Province yesterday. I dropped my kids at school, worked in an office building, did a supermarket shop, had a beer at a brewery with a couple of mates and booked some swimming lessons for my boy on the weekend. I spoke to my sister (in Melbourne) in the evening and she's clearly frustrated. I'm really not sure what Andrews is trying to do.
