As a kid I played a fair bit of footy in the corridor with an old pair of socks or a nerf ball and put a few holes in the plasterboard, but that's not what this thread is about.

Last night it was clear from the first quarter that we were trying to take on collingwood by centering the ball as quickly as possible and running it up the corridor. Leigh matthews was very critical of this and reckoned it wouldn't work against collingwood pressure. It didn't work for us last night, because we weren't clean enough with the ball which led to a few fumbles and turnovers, but i reckon it had the potential to open collingwood up of we could play more one-grab footy. Interested to hear others thoughts on our game style last night.

im all for it, the only trouble being finding that kick that allows us to get from the defensive 50 to the centre square, or from kickouts actually having someone stand up and take a strong mark just outside 50. prefer us going straight through the middle when we dont have a grade wingmen or players capable of hitting targets lace out.

also gives us many more options kicking the ball into the foward 50 as compared to running it down the wing, gives jack alot more opportunity against the best defenders in my opinion
